Nicole Eksteen MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon

Hello, I'm Nicole and I'm the Vet at Eureka Veterinary centre.  My dream of becoming a vet started long before my training did.  I always had a passion for animals and was influenced by my grandmother who looked after abandoned
animals throughout her life.  She owned a tortoise sanctuary for injured and wounded tortoises and in the school holidays, I would love to spend my time helping her feed and nurture them back to health.

I was born in South Africa and I've owned many animals during my childhood such as dogs, cats, parrots, gerbils, rabbits, hamsters, rats and a turtle.  I moved to Ireland with my family and we brought our two dogs with us.  I
was introduced to horses in rural Ireland and I was fortunate to own my own horse.  I loved the outdoor life and rode every weekend.

On a personal note, I love to travel, and enjoy skiing, ice skating and swimming.

I work with a wonderful team and I enjoy coming to work every day.  I am passionate about veterinary and provide the best possible care for every animal that comes to Eureka.
